DESCRIPTION:Dravet Canada is here to ensure no one faces raising a child with Dravet Syndrome alone. This work – and that of Dravet Canada funded researchers – is supported by donors\, event participants\, corporate sponsors\, and volunteers. You can be part of this dynamic group of Canadians by getting involved in the fight to end Dravet Syndrome. \nThis Fall we encourage you to fundraise however you choose and connect with the Dravet Community online. You can organize a walk that can be as small as a walk around your local neighbourhood or park\, run\, cycle\, or a family BBQ\, challenge your family and friends to join you\, while accelerating the pace of Dravet Syndrome breakthroughs and empowering people affected by Dravet to live their best lives. \nWe are asking all of our Dravet families and friends from coast to coast to please sign up this year for our National Fundraising Event\, create a team in honour of your dravet child\, fundraise and share with all of us your event! All proceeds from the events will support Dravet Canada’s mission to raise and distribute funds for research into the care\, cure\, understanding\, and treatment of Dravet Spectrum Disorders and related activities. \nPlease sign up and help make these events a huge success and support a wonderful cause. \nThe cost to register is $20 for each participant and free for anyone with Dravet syndrome. You are encouraged to create a team\, join a team or register as an individual or a family and start spreading the word and most importantly raising awareness! DESCRIPTION:Lainey has been a warrior of Dravet Syndrome since 2015\, when she was 6 months old. She was first diagnosed in 2017\, but had her first seizure in February 2015. She is currently taking 6 anti-epileptic drugs\, and still has seizures almost daily. She has a heart of gold though\, and would do anything for anyone. She loves making new friends\, spending time with family\, and watching her favorite cartoons with anything squishy or soft.\nPlease support Lainey\, in helping Dravet Canada. Gene therapy is on the horizon for Dravet Syndrome patients\, which could change their lives forever!! \n

DESCRIPTION:Join our team\, sponsor our walkers\, donate to our cause\, start your own team \nHannah’s Bananas will be virtually walking until November 30. \nOn September 27th\, our family did the Eramosa River Trail Park Run in solidarity with the Dravet Canada run in Brockville\, on the same day. We sported our Dravet purple and we hope you can join us too! Registering does not mean that you need to go to Brockville or even Guelph to run\, you can support from your couch or with a walk around your block! Our goal is to raise awareness in our community and raise funds for Dravet Syndrome research\, in this new era of gene therapy we are entering. So please donate\, share\, spread the word and wear purple with us on September 27th! \nIf you want to join us for the Eramosa River Trail park run\, it is free to register (always is) and it starts at 9:00am at the covered bridge in Guelph. You can run\, jog or walk! I’ll include the link to the registration in the comments. This race is also something that we do often as a family.
